So I'm sitting at my desk at work today at the switchboard... and suddenly there's someone standing RIGHT beside my chair, and it's the new girl. She works casually in the switchboard office as well as at Admitting and whatnot...
Anyhow she starts off saying "I wasn't sure if I should have just emailed you about this or tell you in person, but..." And then proceeds to explain that she has been talking with dozens of other female staff (nurses and clerks and the like) who all agree that, on the phone and in the overhead pages, I sound like "just the sexiest cowboy!"
Needless to say I was probably blushing pretty good, as I muttered "uh well.. thank you?" What the hell do you say to that?? =)
Truth be known somebody says that to me on the phones at least once a week, sometimes more -- hey it's the reason I like to do the radio thing (and yes, I'll be having a show soon!) ..
Anyhow, I must admit it made my day (which I hadn't been at all enjoying up till then), and I thought it'd be good Blog fodder..
